Also, each of you will be assigned a chapter to which you will connect a current event.  Your current event will be due two school days after your chapter was due.  You need a quote from your assigned chapter and a contemporary event to which the quote could be applied.  Write about the connection between this quote/situation and the current event; share this essay with the class.  The purpose of this assignment is to make connections between the issues/ideas in the text and those same issues in our world today.
